Great Example of Visualization: Comparing Different Responses to COVID-19
The Washington Post created an excellent simulator that allows you to compare different levels of quarantine and how the spread of COVID-19 might change as a result. Here is one example. This is simulating the “Force” quarantined situation (hence the wall). Notice how as people start to bleed out of that to go to work or visit a relative it can quickly go bad.

The blue dots are healthy people. The brown dots are people that have the virus. The purple dots are people that have recovered from the virus. The real value of this is to compare it to the other scenarios. Check out this article to see 4 scenarios and how different the results can be over time: https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/corona-simulator/
All of us Corporate Storytellers can appreciate the effort that was put into this and the payback of that effort. This really helps us visualize how different quarantines really do have different results in “flattening out the curve.”
