Q. How do I get started with e-Corporate Storytelling?
If you have not taken the free trial, you can here. If you are ready to take the complete workshop, you can purchase access to e-Corporate Storytelling here.

Q. What are the main objectives of the e-Corporate Storytelling Workshop?
All of the Corporate Storytelling Workshops have the same two primary objectives. First, the workshop is designed to train you to use the Articulus Storyboard Process. It is a process that you can use over and over to develop new messages and presentations. Second, the workshop is designed so that you spend time working on a real presentation or message. After you are done with the workshop you will have the foundation of a world class presentation for a real opportunity.

Q. How is this different than the other Corporate Storytelling workshops?
A detailed comparison is available here . In general, the goal of all the Corporate Storytelling workshops is the same: to develop a skill of being a remarkable advocate. The difference between e-Corporate Storytelling and the other workshops is in way the training is delivered. All the e-Corporate Storytelling training is done over the internet and phone. The web is used for the training and the phone/virtual meetings are used for coaching.

Q. Does this take the place of other Corporate Storytelling Workshops?
Yes. Because all the Corporate Storytelling Workshops try to create Corporate Storytellers who are clear, concise, and compelling, it is not necessary to take any other workshop in combination with the e-Corporate Storytelling Workshop. That said, it is common that some companies prefer a blended approach to Corporate Storytelling. Blended Corporate Storytelling is a combination of e-Corporate Storytelling and instructor-led (classroom) training. Also, people who have taken the classroom version of Corporate Storytelling have used e-Corporate Storytelling to enhance their skills and implementation on the job.

Q.Can I try it before I buy it?
Yes. You can try e-Corporate Storytelling here . The free trail allows you to take the first lesson and a half of the second lesson.

Q.How is the material presented?
The workshop is a combination of Articulus-style videos (engaging, visually stimulating, and concise) integrated into an e-learning website. There are 13 total lessons. The participant is asked to watch a video (each video is between 5 and 12 minutes) followed by an exercise. Each exercise includes examples. Please try the free trail to see the learning environment for yourself.

Q.Is the material interactive?
Yes. The interactive nature is a result of the interesting videos, exercises and the coaching. Throughout the workshop the participant will be asked to complete exercises. After a specified number of exercises are completed, the participant is asked to contact (or schedule a meeting with) an Articulus coach. An Articulus coach will review the exercise results with the participant, answer questions, and suggest changes before continuing.

Q.Can I get a discount?
Articulus offers quantity discounts. Please contact Articulus if you have a department, division, or entire company that would like to get trained.

Q.How do I buy it?

Q.I am already trained by Articulus. Can I take the e-Corporate Storytelling as a review?
Yes. Please contact the instructor that trained you. If you do not know who trained you, please contact Articulus.

Q.What if I want to train a group of people?
If you would like to purchase multiple logins to the e-Corporate Storytelling environment, please contact Articulus and we can process your order and provide you with unique logins for each person. Sometimes groups prefer to take the workshop as a group and share in group discussions. Q.What IT requirements are needed on my system?
You will need a PC with an internet connection and a web browser. The e-Corporate Storytelling environment uses standard HTML and other web technologies. The video portion of the workshop will be streamed to your web browser. Users use the Windows Media Player to view the videos, but any media player that can play wmv should work. Video streaming requires a high-bandwidth internet connection. The videos will be available in various sizes so it should work in the vast majority of situations. Please use the video links below or the free trial environment to test your ability to view the videos.

Q.How fast does my internet connection need to be?
All the videos in the e-Corporate Storytelling Workshop are provided in 3 sizes: one for fast connections, one for medium speed connections, and one for slower connections. To test your computer’s ability to view the videos, we provide three test videos on the Articulus video server. Please try to view each video below. If the video repeatedly “buffers” when you are watching it, try a video for a lower speed connection. If you cannot view any of these videos, contact Articulus for the alternative.

Q.Can I use a Apple Macintosh to take the workshop?
Not at this time. The videos are currently in a Microsoft Windows video file format. If you require videos for a Macintosh, please contact Articulus.

Q.Have others used the system?
Yes. The e-Corporate Storytelling Workshop has been used by a wide range of customers. Large companies like HP are using the program to supplement the classroom Corporate Storytelling Workshop. Some companies are using the workshop to reduce training travel expenses. Some smaller companies are using the workshop to selectively train key personnel. Q.How is this different from other e-learning sales training programs?
Focus and effectiveness. e-Corporate Storytelling is focused on one thing: making you a remarkable advocate. It is not presentation skills, but you can use it to create a message for a presentation. It is not sales process, but you will find that it helps you be more strategic in your sales process. It is not call planning, but it forces you to plan what you are going to say when you get there. The workshop’s effectiveness comes from the way the media (e.g. video and internet) is used. You will be excited and motivated to apply Corporate Storytelling when you are done.

During the Workshop

Q. How long does access to the e-Corporate Storytelling system last?
90 days. If you need additional time, please contact Articulus .

Q. How long does it take to complete the workshop?
The workshop typically takes 8-11 hours to complete if you work continuously. We suggest you spread the learning out over 2-14 days.

Q.How does the virtual one-on-one coaching work?
At specified points during the workshop you will be instructed to send information to an instructor for coaching. At the coaching points you can contact a coach directly (e.g. call a coach via telephone) and if a coach is available they will provide coaching and support immediately. Alternatively, you can schedule a coaching session at a time that is convenient for you.
During the coaching session, the coach will review your progress, answer questions, and make suggestions on how your message can be improved. The coaching session may simply be a phone call or it can also be a WebEx virtual meeting. It will be up to the coach and the participant to determine what communication methods are best for the situation.

Q. What if I need help/support?
At any point during the workshop the participants are welcome to contact Articulus for help. Please use the contact information on the Contact Us page .

Q. Do I have to do a presentation?
No, but you may be encouraged to. You will be required to develop a message using the Articulus Storyboard. You will share the message with the Articulus coach during the coaching sessions. You will find that the message will really begin to make sense as you practice presenting it. Therefore, the Articulus coach may ask you to present your message over the phone or through a virtual meeting.

Q.Can I take the workshop without going over the internet?
Yes. If you do not have an internet connection, or you do not have sufficient bandwidth to watch the videos, Articulus can send you the entire workshop on a copy protected USB device. Please contact the e-learning sales staff to order the USB drive.

Q.How do I know when I am done?
There are 13 well defined lessons. After you complete the last exercise you will be asked to send your materials to an Articulus coach and arrange a coaching session. After the coaching session, the Articulus coach may suggest further improvements. When the further improvements are done, you have completed the workshop.

After the Workshop

Q. Can I get a copy of the videos used in the workshop?
No. The videos are copyrighted and only available through the workshop.

Q. Can I retake the workshop?
Your access to the workshop expires after 90 days. If you are not able to complete the workshop within that time, please contact Articulus for an extension. If after the workshop you would like to retake it, say 1 year later, contact the Articulus e-learning sales team to arrange a refresher workshop.

Q.What support do I get after the workshop?
The Articulus website has a support section that you are encouraged to use. You will find FAQ’s, forums to ask other Corporate Storytellers questions, and contact information for Articulus. You can also join groups like the Articulus Corporate Storytellers group on LinkedIn. If you would like additional support, please contact Articulus.

Q. What other workshops do you offer that build on what I learned?

Q. What do I have when the workshop is over?
When the workshop is complete you will walk away with electronic versions of the processes and tools used in the workshop (e.g. Articulus Storyboard, Articulus Message Strategy Table). In addition, you are welcome to print the numerous examples and documents available in the workshop. Finally, your articulus.com account will automatically be converted to a support account so you will have access to wealth of support information such as white papers, knowledge base articles, and FAQs.
